Grow the Person, Grow the Business!

The statement above was a real shocker to me for a few years. I learned it was not as much about the money-making strategy as it was about the person behind the strategy!

For instance, you can have the absolute best strategy in the world for making money, but if you're a quitter, you'll end up losing most (if not all) of your investment. This statement about growing the person was reinforced over and over by different leadership experts. So, I took it to heart and proved it true in my own life (i.e. my pocketbook).

I invested heavy in both leadership development materials and even more heavily in how to create money through income-producing assets. That's what led me to the bulk vending business (something I could do on my own schedule as an investment as I worked my other full time job).

I also studied real estate too. It seemed that every time I invested in myself as a person in learning to spot opportunities and how to create wealth, opportunities appeared. I bought and sold a little real estate including a new house flip, trailer park, and duplex, but settled on this bulk vending area as my primary money-making opportunity.

Let me say this clearly: Vending is not a get-rich-quick opportunity. It is work, but profitable work. This is especially true the more and more machines you get on location. You have to become a better planner, delegator, negotiator, resource and inventory manager, etc. You can get scared and intimidated or see your vending home-based business as an opportunity to mature into a successful business person.

One of the reasons I give so much free information is that I learned when I give, I receive back. Many people have helped me along the way move from a shy depressed person to sucessful business owner who sincerely enjoys what he does.
